Information That Cuts Through the Clutter
Let’s face it, on the internet there is plenty of information about what ‘could be’ causing problems in your mouth. The problem is that you can’t believe everything you read. In an effort to cut through the confusion, we have gathered some articles for you to read because, quite frankly, we think everyone who sits in a dental chair should know this information. Sadly, most dentists do not. Which reminds us….
Don’t Let ANY Dentist Tell You Different!
Keep in mind as you are reading these articles that many dentists don’t look at your mouth as a system, but rather have been conditioned to look at just the teeth. Think of your teeth like your car’s tires. If your tires started showing wear, or were breaking down, would you just buy new tires? Or would you prefer to have a mechanic troubleshoot the problem causing the wear so that you don’t have to keep replacing tires? That’s a key difference in dentists. Most just put new tires on the car because they have never been trained to discover what caused it in the first place. They will tell you things like ‘wear is normal’, or ‘that will go away on it’s own’, but in reality, no problem can be solved without finding the root cause.
These articles are important, and they need to be in your hands! We recommend you discuss these topics with your dentist…or better yet, find a Dawson dentist who already knows this information.
Keep in mind this important fact: your teeth are meant to last a lifetime. Any dentist who believes different is not someone we’d want working on us, or you!
